ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

D&L is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that good design should be inclusive, and we are continually working to improve the usability and accessibility of our website for everyone.

WHAT WE'VE DONE

The D&L website is built on the Shopify platform, which provides a strong foundation for accessibility best practices. In addition to Shopify’s core functionality, we have implemented custom design and development improvements to enhance accessibility across the site. We have also reviewed and tested the site using tools such as Google’s Lighthouse accessibility audit.

As part of this work, we have taken steps including:

  • Ensuring sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Providing alternative text for meaningful images
  • Maintaining a clear and logical heading hierarchy to support screen readers
  • Ensuring navigation and interactive elements are usable via keyboard
  • Using semantic HTML landmarks (such as <main>, <nav>, and <footer>) to improve structure and navigation
  • Avoiding redundant or unnecessary text in image alt attributes
  • Ensuring touch targets are appropriately sized for mobile and tablet users

ONGOING EFFORTS

Accessibility is an ongoing process. While we believe the D&L website substantially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines, we recognize that accessibility can always be improved. We remain committed to reviewing our site regularly and making updates as standards, technologies, and best practices continue to evolve.
